Screen 1 When you click the link to access the POW Planning & Reporting System, the first screen you will see is a log-in screen. If you are a first time user, click the link to register. If you have been to the site before and have already registered, type your UserID and Password and click "Login to POW Web."

Screen 2 New User Registration If you clicked the "first time user" link, you will see a screen asking for your System Serial Number. It will link into the POW database to verify your identity and assignment. Your System Serial Number uses your office code, which can be found by clicking the "Office Codes" link, and the last four digits of your social security number. After entering the correct number, click the "Click Here to Register" button. If you have entered your number correctly and are in the POW database, you will see screen 3. If you have made an error or are not in the system, you will receive an error message and will need to use the "Back" button on your browser to go back and try again. OR, if you are NOT in the POW database, you should apply for a POW account. |

Screen 3 Enter UserID and Password If your System Serial Number was entered correctly and you are in the POW database, you will advance to the screen where you will choose a userID and password. In the UserID box, type an ID of your choice. In the Password box, type a password of your choice. Click the "Click Here to Register" button to continue. Screen 4 UserID and Password Verification If you entered an acceptable userID and password, you will receive verification. Clicking the "Click Here to Continue" button will return you to the opening log-in screen where you will need to enter your newly created userID and password. |

Develop/Edit Action Plan (Planned POW Time) The first time you enter the Planned Time module, you will need to click the "Add New Objective" link in the upper right corner of the gray banner to start building your Personal Action Plan and to enter your planned time for the next four year Plan of Work. |

Screen 10 and 10a Objectives and Indicators This screen lists the objectives for the sub-POW you have selected.
Click the "Indicators" link to view the indicators related to each objective (Screen 10a). Read indicators for details about accomplishments. (Use the "Previous Menu" link in the upper right corner of the gray banner to return to the Objectives page.) Click the number to the left of the objective to select an objective to commit time. |

Screen 11 Input Objective Related Data This screen contains information about the objective you selected. It also contains a summary of the days you have committed to this point . On this screen you will see several links:

Audience At this screen, you need to identify the audiences for this objective. Type your audiences into the text box. The default FY in the drop down box shows the current fiscal year. Change the FY for each year you want to identify audiences. When finished, click on Enter/Edit Audiences button to update your info. |

Screen 16 Deleting an Objective An objective can be deleted from the "Develop/Edit Action Plan" screen (Screen 14) or from the "Input Objective RElated Data" screen (Screen 15). To delete the Objective, click the delete button. You will be asked if you are sure you want to delete the objective. Click the "Delete" button to continue or the "Cancel" button to abort. Click the Main Menu link in the gray banner to continue. |

Screen 18 Add New Objective Committing Other Time is very much like committing POW time. To begin, click the "Add New Objective" link in the gray banner. This will take you to the list of categories for committing your time. |

Screen 20 Enter/Edit Action Plan (Other Time) Note: If you choose any category other than 1, you won't have any option to select a goal.) This screen allows you to specify exactly what you will be working on. Although your work isn't related to a POW, in this category, it must be related to a Goal. (There are other categories for objectives that relate neither to a Goal nor to a POW.) Select the appropriate goal from the pull-down list. Then type your objective description. Then enter the number of days you will spend on this objective. Click the "Update" button to continue after you have entered all necessary information. NOTE: You must complete the entire form or you will get an error message in the left column and you will not be able to continue until you either cancel the action or complete the form correctly. |

Screen 21 Develop/Edit Action Plan (Other Time) This brings you back to the Develop/Edit Action Plan (Planned Other Time) screen which contains a summary of your Other Planned Time. From this screen you can add a new objective, edit or delete an existing objective, Logoff, or return to the Main Menu. Note: at the bottom of the screen, there is a link for the other fiscal year. Note: Another link at hte bottom FY 01/02 Inservice Offerings by POW Code. This link will open up another browser window. click the exit button to go back to the POW screen. |

| Printing Your Plan | |

Screens 22 View/Print Action Plan (Planned POW & Other Time) When you are ready to print your plan, go to the Main Menu and select "View/Print Action Plan." A summary of both your POW and Other Time will appear on the screen. Use your browser print option to print the screen. This is usually found under the File menu. The information displayed is for one fiscal year. Click on the drop down arrow to choose different fiscal years. At this screen, you will see the days, methods, timelines, and evaluation process for all your planned time. When you are finished using the system, click the "logoff" link in the upper right corner of the gray banner. This will end your session and return you to the logon screen. |

Screen 26 Enter/Edit Reported Time for Planned POW Objective Enter the number of days you worked on the objective in the text box to the right of the month you are reporting on. The number of months available to report on will increase as the year progresses. You can go back and change the number of days you have reported at any time during the year. If you decide not to enter time for the objective you selected, just leave it blank and click the "Click Here to Cancel" button. You will be returned to the previous screen and no changes will have been made. If you want to check your work but stay on the same screen so you can correct any mistakes you may have made, click the "Click Here to Update" button. If you entered time and then realized that you had made a mistake, you can enter the new number or enter a zero to return the number of days to zero and then click the "Click Here to Update" button. When you are finished entering time for this objective, click the "Done" button to return to the "Edit/Enter Reported Time and Data" screen. NOTE: The number of days will only be recorded if you use the "Click Here to Update" button or the "Done" button. If you use any other navigation link, your numbers will NOT be updated. |

Screen 27 If you have spent time working on an objective that you didn't originally enter into your Action Plan, you will need to add it before you can enter the amount of time you spent on it. To do this, you need to be at the Enter/Edit Reported Time and Data screen. Click the link, "Click Here to Add Non-planned POW Objectives" at the bottom of the list of planned objectives. (Look at the red circle in the image to the right.) You will progress through a series of screens identical to the ones you used to buy-in to POWs. After selecting the goal, POW, Sub-POW, and objective, you will arrive at Screen 27a where you need to enter the number of days you worked on the new objective in the text box to the right of each month.. |

Screen 28 Non-planned POW Time When you click the "Done" button, you will return to the "Edit/Enter Reported Time and Data" screen and you will see the new objective which will be labeled, "Nonplanned" in the Objective column (circled in red). |

Screen 29 Reporting Time for Other Time Objectives The steps for reporting Other Time are exactly the same as for reporting Planned Time, and, except for the page titles being different, the screens look the same. From Screen 28, you will click the "Report Time" link to the right of the Other Time objective. At Screen 29, you will enter the number of days you worked on the objective and then click the "Click Here to Update" button or the "Done" button. You will be returned to the Enter/Edit Reported Time and Data" screen and the changes you made will be reflected in the numbers you see there. After you have entered all of the days you wish to report, click the "Logoff" link at the top of the page to exit the database system. |

Screen 38a Entering Contact Data Note: 2001, you can only enter totals for the year. For 2002 and beyond, you can enter contact data as you have it. Contact data is accumulated into the POW Database each time you enter your contacts. Your contact data needs to be entered as a total for each meeting, seminar, workshop, etc. As you have new programs, seminars, workshops, etc., throughout the year, you will enter these new totals to the Contact Data screen. Select a County participants reside in. Enter the contact numbers in the text boxes for males and females with a total figure. At this point, there is no error check for the total field. You need to make sure you have added the females & males correctly to get the total. |

Screen 38b Editing Contact Data For 2002 and beyond, you can enter your contact data as you hold your programs, workshops, seminars. When you are adding to the Contact Data for a POW, you will see "Last Updated Date:" (circled in red). Click the Enter Contact Data to add these numbers to the POW database. |

Screen 38c Error: Please enter numeric number into the empty textboxes! If you see this error, (circled in red) it's because you've either left a text box blank or typed a non-numeric character. You won't be able to leave this screen until you enter a number in each text box. If you don't have any contact data for a box, make sure there is a 0 (zero) in it. |
